The Story of Our Squadron Pennant

Squadron PennantOur Squadron Pennant was designed to incorporate the Peterborough Lift Lock as designed by local artist George Elliott. Upon approval by the CPS Governing Board on recommendation of the Flag & Etiquette Committee, the design was produced. All active and current members of Peterborough Power & Sail Squadron are permitted to fly the Squadron Pennant on their vessels.Annually all new members graduating from the Boating Class receive a Squadron Pennant at the Graduation Ceremonies.

In 2009, upon approval from the CPS National Secretary, on recommendation from the Flag & Etiquette Committee, a gold bar was added to the fly of the Pennant to create a Longevity Pennant to denote the Squadron's 50th Anniversary.

Squadron Logo

The Squadron later designed a logo with the graphic from the Pennant enclosed in a ship's wheel. It was developed to embroider on various items of clothing.
