Peterborough Power and Sail Squadron

Safe Boating Instruction in the Kawarthas Since 1959

Who We Are

Since 1959, we have trained thousands of pleasure boaters in safe practices and knowledge of our waterways by offering a number of training courses, in particular the Boating Course that now consists of three parts Boating 1 – Boating Basics Get Your Pleasure Craft Operator Card, followed by Boating 2 – Beyond Boating Basics More Than Your Boating License, and Boating 3 – Introduction To Marine Navigation.

Today the Squadron continues to offer these courses each year along with Maritime Radio Seminars, Navigating with GPS Seminars, and Fundamentals of Weather Courses.

For its members, Peterborough Power and Sail Squadron offers Boating 4 – Near Shore Marine Navigation Level 1 (formerly Seamanship) and Boating 5 – Near Shore Marine Navigation Level 2 (formerly Advanced Piloting).

Peterborough Power and Sail Squadron is a unit of Canadian Power and Sail Squadrons and one of seven Squadrons in Quinte District.
